Throughout the years, the company has exercised due diligence in making smart property investments to promote financial stability. To date, Ewein Land has acquired Menara IJM Land in Penang. Boasting a well-connected location with a net lettable area of 100,000 sq ft and high occupancy rates, this tower contributes attractive rental income to the Group. Menara IJM Land, a 15-storey building, is at Lebuh Tunku Kudin 3 on Penang island, within a cluster of shopping and retailing centres and posh condominiums, and only about five minutes’ drive from Penang Bridge.
The group’s subsidiary, The Esplanade Park Sdn. Bhd., took over the management and conservation of Fort Cornwallis via an open tender from the Penang Government. Built in 1786, this is the oldest manmade structure in Penang island and generates rental income as a favoured venue for public events, entry fees as a tourist attraction and public car park.
A wholly-owned subsidiary of Ewein Berhad, Kelpen Plastics Technology Sdn. Bhd. leases out its factory building with substantial rental income.
